We pick a town, tell you we’re on our way, hide £100 and post a story showing exactly where. Then we hide too, and watch who gets there first.
We announce the town
On Instagram at @dash_for_cash_uk and by alert, we say which town or city we’re heading to. That’s your cue to get nearby.
We post the story
Once the envelope is hidden, we post an Instagram story showing exactly where it is, and alerts go out at the same moment. Every drop is in a public place you can reach safely on foot.
First there keeps it
Grab the yellow envelope and the £100 is yours. We’ll be hiding nearby, filming the moment someone finds it.
A drop day
The announcement
We post the town we’re heading to. Nothing is hidden yet, so use the time to get close.
The story
The moment the £100 is in place, the story goes up showing the exact spot. Be quick.
The race
We stay out of sight and watch. Don’t look for us, look for the envelope.
The winner
We post the moment it’s found, and show the winner if they’re happy to be on camera.

How much is in each envelope?
£100 in cash, every time.
Is it really free?
Yes. There’s nothing to buy, no entry fee and no sign-up. We will never ask you for money or bank details. If anyone does, it isn’t us.
Will I be filmed?
Probably. We’ll be hiding nearby and filming the moment the envelope is found. We always ask before posting anything that shows your face, and we blur anyone who’d rather not be seen.
When should I set off?
As soon as we announce the town, head that way. The exact spot only appears in our story once the envelope is hidden, and it rarely lasts long after that.
What if someone beats me to it?
That’s the game. Check the Latest drops page or your alerts before you set off, and there’ll be another drop soon.
Where do you hide them?
Public places across the UK, such as parks, high streets and town centres. Never on private land without permission, and never anywhere unsafe to reach.
How do I get alerts on my phone?
Tap Get alerts and allow notifications. On iPhone, first add Dash Drops to your home screen from Safari’s Share menu, then open it from there and turn alerts on.
